The owners of this building are a family who wanted an American style “farmhouse” type home. We solved with two main volumes and two smaller slices. The main colours of the building were a bluish grey, white and honey wood tone. Black window frames and black details add contrast and detail. We designed the layout of the building to be as functional as possible, taking into account the wishes and needs of the family.
We solved the problem of elevating the building’s envelope to create a pleasant and secluded courtyard, where the difference in height adds excitement while at the same time screening views from the street.
